Its been so nice to hear that you're well since last week, but also selfishly because its such a pleasure to have you hitting my inbox once again with your delightful reads :)
Enjoy, safe travels and pretty please indulge in all the food! Is it possible to ask where in Italy? Because your girly here plans to retire there one day (life long plan, even minored in italian in college :)!
They call it retirement Paola but maybe it’s just la dolce vita. Not sure I could live long and not work with my hands.
Our family applied for our iuris sanguinis rights to citizenship there and it was granted. The economy of scale is much different there. Depending on where you live the average salary might be $1,300 a month, and there’s no minimum wage, which is why many leave Italy so they can afford houses or real estate I’ve found.
Saving in America has becoming easier by learning how to make my own groceries so to speak from your channel. Home economics has tremendous value these days (as it always has truly).
A trip tour with my Mother in Law ( who is like my own mother rip) and sisters . We are going to Rome Venice Pisa Florence Capri Assisi then back to Rome! I have been babbel(learning) Italian and listening to podcast in Italian. I know Spanish some French and Portuguese so all those are helpful!
I just saw a pop-up video that showed a lady making these and I wondered how in the world to make them. They looked so soft and delicious. She used a baked purple potato, but I didn’t see any amounts given. Do you think it would work using a mashed purple potato? Juat curious. Thanks, can’t wait to try them!
I ate from street side taco stands for three days in Mexico City just as you suggest and had no problems. Like a damn fool, I got a Subway sandwich at the airport before boarding my flight home. And I was spraying the Ganges River for a week. Brutal.
Im just discovering your work today! Super impressed and eager to learn. Is your vip offer still on the table? Are you still providing starters to your VIP subscribers?
You mentioned growing microgreens, and I remembered the little "to grow" bonus we got with our starters! Maybe I missed the conversation about it, but I found it in my fridge last week, and wonder if you had more details about it?
Oh my goodness…I can’t wait to try these. 🤩 I make gf sourdough bread (I have celiac disease) and I have starter in my fridge. Can you tell me how I make purple sweet potato powder? Do I need a dehydrator? I’m having a brain cramp! 😆
oh and note that you could also just use the mash directly into recipes (depending on how much you use it'll still come out very vibrant)(but I was also in Mexico, and I can't take fruits or veggies there from the US lol)
Actually great question Suzanne! And you are indeed correct- you can go ahead and dehydrate some purple sweet potato puree (and then grind it up)(you'll also likely be saving a lot of $ if you invest the time). Otherwise you can purchase it through amazon, there are various vendors nowadays :)

Tacos look incredible.
So let me guess... my pre-minced and packaged garlic isn't helping my microbiome's diversity?
The way I CHOCKED on my water lmao!
Right, exactly (I had the same realization about my jared salsa a while back...)
lol 😆

These look delicious! I need to get some of the purple sweet potato flour!
honestly one of my favorite ingredients to bake with Momsy– makes the crumb so tender 'n soft!
Do we just comment here if we want the starter? I do!
Please email me your address Marry Ann (just hit reply to my newsletter)!
Paola, I’d love some of the starter, please. I do have a yearly subscription.
Thank you for the offer
