p.s. thank you to everyone who has written over the past few days– I promise that while things really do suck right now that we're also OK now (I'm in LA right now with all five little ones as Dedal's tail is injured and we drove down to see a vet as she's been in a lot of pain)(but thank you, truly, for all the good vibes you're sending our way as they're certainly being well received!) 😘

I’m glad you and your little ones are OK and I know I’m not the only one who has been worried as we know you’re handling so much. We’re here, ready to take on those death eaters by your side 🪄

Dude. You know I’m going to bake this just as an homage to your resilience. You need a break. I hope you’re in a safe place now ( physically AND mentally!) 😘

Jenny... lmao! It's truly on of my favorite loafs to date.

And thank you– we are all now in a safe space both physically and mentally (I'll share more on this this week, but I'll already tell you that there was a 180 change with my health and at least getting a break there)(and feeling well physically has made it infinitely easier to begin to get everything back on track).

Thank you for being here, I appreciate you dude ;)

I’m going to need to share a picture in our group chat, but I think you’re going to be so proud of me that I managed to bake this beauty just out of the percentages you gave in your IG 😋 loved it and the little Yosemite starter you sent over has been a star. A little intimidating at first, but I just went ahead and mixed everything and in the end not surprisingly you have been right all along that the starter really does most of the work. Oh and the cinnamon rolls were so surprisingly good, and take no offense because I love your recipes I just didn’t trust sourdough as I’d tried some baked goods from the farmers market and they were a bit underwhelming at times. Interesting, so nice to have you back!

And I think you know how brave you are, as so many of us have been cooking with you through the years and have seen how strongly you picked yourself up from everything. You got this and we got you

You might be going through a lot and are very naturally scared, but hold on to your God given gift to create and write your story as I want you to know that your resilience is contagious. I’m also someone who has been through though 💩 as you say, so thank you for sharing yourself so candidly… being afraid of fear itself is something I can relate to.

We’ll be here cheering you on!

Wow, Paola (my middle name is Paolo)

After reading what’s been happening, I don’t even care about my sourdough starter. Myself being autistic also, forgot to even reply to the message you graciously sent to me.

This platform is unique. I will remember you in my prayers.

Honestly, read the whole thing like it was a chapter out of my own book.

@Paola van der Hulst Very happy to hear from you and that you and your fur babies are safe and feeling better!! Really was concerned about you when we didn’t hear from you for so long. I believe you are going to come out the other side of all this much more resilient and stronger! 💕

Amazing! My daughter and I did one similar ladt month(?)ish. Need to try yours, this ups the game.

I'm saddened by your story, and can relate. My only words here, are the sh*tty non helpful, yet true. 'That which does not kill us makes us stronger'

50 years into it.

Truly, you are taking the higher road in the situation; to your own suffering(and your lil bits). I wish you great success in light of darkness! You rock! -G

Paola,

I'm so glad you and your furry family are all safe! I was really beginning to worry. I'm new to your group, but I definitely felt something was wrong!

This loaf is gorgeous! I'm going to try it for my gluten relatives visiting this weekend. Thankfully I get to use someone else's kitchen.

I'm gluten intolerant so I would love to know if you have any brainstorming ideas for gluten free? What is the protein content of the gluten flour you use? I usually strive to match the protein content in my gluten free sourdough and use psyllium husk for elasticity.

And the light enters in to show us what is truly behind the situations we seem stuck in. Keep breathing. We are all being preyed upon by others who have taken A dark path. When we react, we also hold our breath. Breathe and allow (accept) understanding. If you maintain flow, the understandings will come. I'm willing to bet , if you think about it, that you did so without even realizing it. I have discovered that this is the path for us to move back into the light and move past the bullies of which there are many. I walk beside all of you. May we all find peace and strength separately as well as together. Be blessed
