Wow! Thanks for the tip about the Teff for brownies. Now that you mention it, I can see how the chocolate would be a very complimentary flavor. I will certainly try that one!

I enjoy a bread recipe that uses a combination of sorghum and millet flours. I sometimes add some dark Teff flour when I use it to make my dark rye bread.

oh perfect, those are literally my dream gluten free flours (and potato flours and purees are awesome additions too!).

p.s. teff makes THE BEST brownies- it just works beautifully with chocolate as a flavor!

The saffron bread is STUNNING!! Any recommendations on brands? It'll be a gazillion dollars in this economy

lol yes, particularly because I began making tea with it I researched some more "wholesale-ish" options. I'm on my phone but I'll drop some links in the afternoon for you

"saffron is currently being studied as a comparable stimulant to conventional medication for ADHD"

pretty big drop to drop without a follow up?

Happy new year to you too Joan! And I honestly wish I had a lot more on this than a couple of liners in terms of actual scientific research – and this is often a complaint on many subreddits too as many users claim great benefit at times... but its something where dosages etc could be greater studied.

I'll be happy to talk more about it though, as I'm personally audhd myself (and have been giving it a go for a few months to some success)(as in you can DEF feel when you make a strong tea that you're taking a stimulant, but it feels less racy than the actual meds).

Have you taken the supplements also or just made tea? I’ve read that some use it for weight loss

I've only tried one brand of supplements so I'm not qualified to give an answer on the market (as I know its vast), but some simple research also shows that you'll probably get more bang for your buck buying it as a wholesale ingredient and making a strong concentrate yourself (just don't use hot water!).

And some do use it for weight loss as its a stimulant (similarly why its also believed to aid in depression as it "stimulates" you into a different energetic state). I dunno though, if anything I feel like it stimulates my appetite...

Love love love your recipes! I just made the (dough only) for the purple sweet potatoe sourdough. I can't wait to try it. I am letting it sit in frig for 72 hours before baking, do I take it out and let it set at room temp then score and bake or can it go from frig to the preheated pan?

No, but some will be– you guys will get an email from me this weekend about it. But can I ask Sharon that those of you who are gluten free tell me what flours you enjoy best? The recipes are for you guys after all ;)
